Major components of the essential oil of the leaves (steam distillation; 0.4-0.7%) were β-pinene (39.7%), (E)-β-ocimene (~7%), terpinen-4-ol (4.8%), humulene (4.8%), limonene (~3.8%), δ-cadinene (3.7%), β-selinene (3.6%), α-pinene (3.4%), linalool (3.4%), viridiflorene (2.9%), β-elemene (2.1%), β-eudesmol (2.1%), myrcene (1.6%), α-muurolene (1.6%), δ-cadinol (1.1%), and germacrene D (1.0%).

A commercial essential oil contained β-pinene (43.0%), α-pinene (6.9%), limonene (5.6%), (E)-β-ocimene (4.2%), sabinene (3.3%), caryophyllene (2.8%), myrcene (2.6%), germacrene D (2.3%), cadinadiene (1.7%), humulene (1.6%), (Z)-β-ocimene (1.3%), γ-elemene (1.3%), p-cymene (1.2%), β-phellandrene (1.0%), and β-elemene (1.0%) as main components.
