Tree, up to 20m high, native to Australia (New South Wales, Victoria); bark persistent on trunk and larger branches, grey to grey-brown, shortly fibrous (`peppermint'); young leaves ovate, glaucous; adult leaves lanceolate to broad-lanceolate, 7-15cm long.
