 When the dried and flattened umbels with fruits of Laserpitium siler were steam-distilled, the main constituents of the essential oil were limonene (68.9%), perillaldehyde (23.7%), and chamazulene (1.4%). The steam-distilled freshly harvested leaves without pretreatment gave an essential oil with limonene (29.6%), sabinene (19.9%), α-pinene (12.1%), germacrene D (10.1%), chamazulene (5.2%), myrcene (4.1%), β-caryophyllene (2.5%), and γ-terpinene (2.1%) as main compounds. \\ When the dried and flattened umbels with fruits of Laserpitium siler were steam-distilled, the main constituents of the essential oil were limonene (68.9%), perillaldehyde (23.7%), and chamazulene (1.4%).
