 The major components of the pentane extract from Daphne odora flowers were alcohols like linalool (15.5%), citronellol (10.6%), nerol (1.8%), geraniol (3.0%) and farnesol (9.3%). Other major components were heptacosane (7.6%), nonacosane (1.1%), farnesyl acetate (2.1%), methyl linoleate (5.7%), nonanal (1.8%), farnesal (4%), nonanoic acid (1.2%) , and geranic acid (1.9%).
