Artemisia herba-alba Asso - Asteraceae - white wormwood, armoise herbe blanche (fr.)
Upright, shrubby perennial, 0.20-0.40m high, native to Morocco and the Mediterranean region; leaves grey-green, pinnately divided, covered with fine glandular hairs, strongly aromatic.
The essential oil of the herb is used in perfumery (scent: fresh cedar thujonic minty camphoreous sage herbal bitter) as armoise oil.

Major components of Artemisia herba-alba Asso essential oil obtained by hydrodistillation growing in eastern Morocco (Taforalt) were camphor (43.0%), camphene (7.2%), 1,8-cineole (7.0%), filifolone (7.0%), borneol (4.8%), and bornyl acetate (3,7%).

Main components of commercial oils were:
α-thujone (42.4%), β-thujone (17.0%), camphor (15.1%), and 1,8-cineole (4.4%): purenature
