„Soft, delicate, fernlike, deciduous foliage and dense terminal clusters of lavender-blue, lightly fragrant, trumpet-shaped flowers make this large, spreading tree an outstanding specimen planting.“
[Gilman, Edward F., and Dennis G. Watson. „Jacaranda mimosifolia.“ (1993).] http://hort.ifas.ufl.edu/database/documents/pdf/tree_fact_sheets/jacmima.pdf

„Pretoria, the administrative capital of South Africa is popularly and poetically known as Jacaranda City or Jakarandastad in Afrikaans because of the large number of trees which turn the city blue when they flower in spring… Jacarandas are widely grown as ornamental trees in Australia.“ https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jacaranda_mimosifolia

„Although the individual flowers are rather lightly fragrant, the millions together immerse the surroundings in a pleasant aromatic-floral fragrant cloud which is especiall based on the combination of anisaldehyde, 2-phenylacetaldehyde, 2-phenylethanol, vanillin, and p-methyl anisole.
