 Cympogon winterianus is the source of **Java-type citronella oil** ("Mahapengri"), owning a fresh, citrusy, somewhat lemon-like odor. Main constituents of the essential oil are citronellal (32-45%, best quality greater 38%), geraniol (12-18%, best quality greater 16%), citronellol (11-15%, best quality greater 12%), geranyl acetate (3-8%), citronellyl acetate (2-4%), and limonene (2-5%). \\ Cympogon winterianus is the source of **Java-type citronella oil** ("Mahapengri"), owning a fresh, citrusy, somewhat lemon-like odor.
